MARCH
2005
1. Calendula
and Chamomile Salve
When
my daughter was a baby, everytime she had any bumps and bruises, I
depended on Zambuk to get rid of the nasty bump or bruise. It
worked very well, except for the fact that it has a very strong
medicated smell which often made her struggle whenever she knew I
was going to apply on her 'injury'. Then when I came across your
website last year, I decided to give the Calendula &
Chamomile Salve a try for both kids. It works just as well as
Zambuk in getting rid of bruises and bumps very quickly. I even
used it whenever i clumsily knock against anything and end up
with a bruise myself! :-p
Before
this balm came along, I was 'mourning' the disappearance of
the Baby Bum Balm from your list of products. Using the
Natural Healing Balm on insect bites, certainly helps
lightening and shrinking the size of the insect bites. Just
the other day, my son had a mosquito bite on his index finger
(of all places!) and the poor finger swelled to more than
twice its original size. I immediately applied the Natural
Healing Balm on it before he had his afternoon nap. When he
woke up about 2 hours later, the swell and redness was gone
and his finger was back to its normal size! :-)
The
past few years my hands have become rather allergic to washing
detergent. Even with the use of gloves whenever doing the
dishes, whenever I remove the gloves, my hands would still be
very itchy and often covered with ugly red spots and dry skin,
making them very rough to touch. I tried almost all the brands
of hand creams and lotions but none of them made any
difference to improve the condition. Then recently I
remembered the little sample jar of Shea Honey Cream which I
received together with my last Little Dreamers purchase and
decided to give it a try. To my surprise, not only does it
have a nice scent, by the second time I applied it to my hands
I already noticed great results! All the itchiness, redness
and dry rough skin are gone!!!! My hands are much smoother now
thanks to this great cream! :-) I'm planning to purchase a jar
for myself soon and will be getting one for one of my sisters
who has the same problem as me! :-) I told her about it and
she is keen to try it too. Luckily I still have a little of
the sample left and will be letting her try for herself
tomorrow.

I must thank
Little Dreamers for bringing in products for babies and children,
especially the bath products since they are specially formulated
for sensitive skin with all natural ingredients. My children never
have to suffer from any diaper rash or eczema since I discovered
these products.
I've made recommendations of the "California Baby" hair
& body wash and the calendula cream to friends who tell me
that their children suffer from eczema and they tell me that they
keep it under control with less than a week's use. The older
children were able to say that the body wash has a little
'cooling' effect, which they like.
As for the "mothercare" products, I find them reallly
useful during pregnancy because it provides relieve and I can be
sure that they are safe for use.

Before
my pregnancy, I have been warned of stretch marks by many close
friends. Some even showed their stretch marks to me!!! Immediately
after I knew I was pregnant, I consulted my friends about the
stretch marks cream they used and the price.
After
buying and testing a few products, I finally have to agree with
one friend that her recommendation is by far the best. She has
recommended me the Body & Belly Cream.
Body
& Belly Cream
is rich in ingredients, yet not sticky. It
helps in preventing pregnancy itching well too. Now I love to use
it after shower.
Thanks
to Little Dreamers for carrying this wonderful product.

So
excited to share with everyone my experience after using the
conditioner
(California Baby's Hair Conditioner).
My
hair used to be very straight and neat before I was pregnant.
Things changed during the last trimester and my hair was very
curly and untidy especially when my hair was short, worse thing
is that I became sensitive to lots of brands of shampoo and
conditioners. Now, my hair is long and with those
layering, my hair looks very dull, dry and sticking out
especially after I wash my hair even I put on conditioner.
The hairstylist always encouraged me to do treatment commenting
that my hair is really, but I simply can't waste time seating
there for an hour or so.
I
bought your conditioner and I leave it on for the 1st time when
I used, my hair felt a bit sticky. I used it the 2nd time
yesterday and amazingly, this is the 1st time that my hair is so
straight and wonderfully neat after so many years of messy
hair!!!! I was so happy that I kept looking at the mirror to see
that is my hair sticking out just as before but it is still so
neat even i didn't comb my hair! :)
The
price of the product is a bit ex but definitely is worth it!

A picture speaks a
thousand words. In my case, I'll let two photos speak for themselves.
Elias was introduced to calendula cream when he had face
rash at 5 months old. Ever since I started applying this cream, his face
rash not only got well, but the whole face became smoother. Now
at 10 months old, I still faithfully apply on him every night as a
moisturizer.
Wonderful product indeed! The scent is so light and refreshing
too.

I
have psoriasis and a few patches on my body (elbows, thighs and
arms - thank god not on my face). Dr says no cure for me - just
moisturize and moisturize...and my over using of steroids has
caused visible patches. I tried the Shea Honey Cream on
myself and it seems to have a positive
effect... Actually,
my baby has very sensitive skin just like me, unfortunately... I love the Calendula
Cream and Aloe Vera Cream from California Baby. My
girl's skin has improved significantly.
Again, I must let you know that I am so grateful to you for
bringing the california baby products in at such affordable
prices. keep it up.

Hi,
I'm expecting boy/girl twins (due any moment now!) and have a 3
year old son. Just before Chinese New Year, I
"discovered" your website and ordered over $200 worth
of products to try out, both for me and our babies. As I wanted
to pack some of the items in my hospital bag, I was
worried that they wouldn't arrive on time. But to my great
relief, they were all delivered in good time. Thanks firstly for
your efficiency despite the CNY holidays!
I just love the Belly Butter and have already used up the 1 oz
which I bought within 1 1/2 weeks! I like the way it melts into
my skin with no greasy trace, and it smells absolutely divine!
As I'm having twins, my belly is just HUGE, so I've been
applying the Belly Butter much more than twice a day to aid in
the stretching. I wish I had known about your website earlier so
that I could have started using it from the outset instead of
using other products. I'm going to have to order the
4 oz tub next!
In the meantime, I am also trying the Beautiful Belly Oil.
Again, it absorbs well and stops any itching from the stretching
skin. Hope it does the trick just as well as the Belly Butter.
I'll be packing it in my hospital bag, together with the Warming
Body Wash and Shampoo for
Confinement, Afterbirth Treatment and Healing Bottom
Spray.
For our twins, I've bought the Natural Baby Powder, Non-burning
and Calming Diaper Area Wash, Calming Mini-Sampler,
Anti-bacterial Mist, Bye Bye Sun and Bye Bye Buggy. So you see,
we're soon turning into a "Little Dreamers" family!
Can't wait to try them out!

I have always
been wanting to write to you about how wonderful your products
are. Since more than 2 years back, I have used many of your
products and some products that we still insist on are California
Baby hair and body wash, and the bubble bath. My girl loves them a
lot and thus enjoys all her bath. For me, I love the smell which
can be therapeutic for hectic mummy like me. Will always make sure
that I buy extra bottles for my niece as well.
Would like to make special mention to one product, the Calendula
Cream. As already much appraised by the other fans, this cream
works excellently for my girl who has eczema. I also use it for
her other rashes, scars and bruises and within a matter of days,
all will be cleared perfectly. I also use it for myself. I just
gave birth a week ago and my baby suffered quite bad nappy rash on
her little buttocks. I quickly took out the calendula cream and
asked my confinement nanny to use it on the baby. It works so well
that my confinement nanny asked me about it and told me that she
is definitely going to recommend it to all other mummies! So, this
marvellous cream is going to earn itself more fans!
thanks a lot!

I discovered
your website accidentally while i was looking for organic products while
i was pregnant with my 2nd child. Since they were reasonably
priced, i ordered a whole basket of products worth $250.
I
was particularly amazed with
the Calendula Cream!! I did the traditional
confinement massage/wrap and after the last session, my skin
around the tummy was terribly irritated and i went to see my gynae.
It was very very red and extremely itchy that i kept scratching. He
says im allergic to the cream applied during the wrap, so he
passed me a medication to stop the itch. I used the
medication for the next 3 days and it didnt help a bit at
all. I was going crazy because of the itch and I decided to
try the calendular cream instead (which was meant for my baby...)
and within the next few hours, the redness went down so much i was
shocked! The itch also reduced incredibly! It's simply miraculous!
My tummy's condition recovered by the 3rd day!
Another
product was the Healing
Bottom Spray and the Postpartum Healing Salve.
Both of the products worked so well together, they relieved the
soreness on the perinum i had after giving birth. Not only
that, my gynae said that the perinum area healed so well and he
was simply surprised at the speed of recovery, he gave me a pat on
my back after my checkup!
The
other product that made
a difference was the Intense Repair Cream. I
didnt apply anything on my tummy when i had my 1st kid, so my
stretchmarks were really disastrous...My friends who saw them
changed their mind abt giving birth. They were that bad. I used a
squalene oil during my 2nd pregnancy but it didnt seem to improve
anything (although it did maintain its condition, not making it
worse). The difference came when i started using the intense
repair cream aft i gave birth. Having used it for 5 months
continuously, my stretchmarks improved significantly! i showed my
tummy to my friends again and they agreed that it's really a great
difference!
Thank
you little dreamers for
your great products! They really helped to make things better in
the midst of difficult and painful moments...Thanks a million! i
have recommended these products to other mummies as well! i'm sure
they'll like it like i did!

Before
my son was born, I wanted to let him start using organic skincare as soon as he
was born as I believed that organic products has the best natural substances for
my baby's skin. It is not easy finding the right products as there are not alot
of organic stores in Singapore but I knew I always wanted to get a US certified
Organic Skincare range as they are more reliable. So when I stumbled across
Little Dreamers, it was like God answered my prayers for the solution to my
problem:) I am glad to have found little dreamers for all the organic products I
use for me and my baby. I am also intending to try lots of other products
after the delivery of my second child ( maybe 2 years later!) . The photograph
contests also add to a more personal touch in connecting other families
together. Thank you Little Dreamers for giving me and my baby the best skincare
for the largest organ for our body! God bless!

When
Der Nen was 2 months old, he started getting a red rash on his
cheeks. I thought it was milk rash because DN is such a
messy drinker! So I made sure I cleaned his face after every
feed. A few days passed and his cheeks were still an
angry red. In fact, it had gotten worse. The skin on his cheeks
became dry, hard and almost crust-like. Terrible!! I brought him
to the doctor the next day, still thinking he had a bad case of
milk rash.
You
can imagine my surprise when the doctor said he had eczema. DN was
prescribed two creams, one of them a topical steroid cream. The
doctor said I was to use the creams sparingly and stop immediately
when his skin cleared up. The creams worked and by day 3, the rash
was gone. I happily stopped applying the creams, thinking the
battle was won. But no! The rash came back.
I
knew I couldn't go on using a topical steriod cream on DN who was
just barely out of the womb! I can't imagine what the steroids
would have done to him. I had to find a better and SAFER
solution.
I
decided to get some California Baby Calendula Cream because
I'd heard about it from a friend. I read up about it and it
sounded perfect! Organic and perfect for babies with eczema. The
icing on the cake was the fact that it was not tested on animals!
It
worked like a dream. :) DN's cheeks cleared up and have been silky
smooth since! Now I can't stop rubbing my cheek against his and he
smells delicious! I apply the Calendula Cream on his face at night
and during the day, I use the Botanical Moisturising Cream on his
face and body. (I'm using the Calendula Cream as a night cream for
myself too!)
I'm
truly amazed that there's a NATURAL and SAFE alternative to
topical steroid creams. I just hope more mums with babies with
eczema will read this and start using the Calendula Cream too.
